On the ... some misconceptions

Still in the office, meeting with my boss makes me a bit (read: very) lazy to continue my work for now (don’t get me wrong, I love what I am doing right now, just sometimes nine hours of sitting, coding and writing is a bit too much, not to mention some extra hours that I have to spend to do extra coding from home …) … so I browsed the virtual world, and bump in into a blog of someone that I think I know (not really good with names and something like that) … and I am inspired to write something about myself … which I assume not so many people knows, and due to the cancellation of today dutch course (yipiiii …) .. I still have some time to spend until 5 o’clock (distorted reality … huehehehehehehe) … so here we are …

I am a proud batak, but contrary to the popular view (at least, for people around me), I can speak and understand batak language quite good … … but for sure the accent is pretty nasty …. because during my life I am used to speak (so to say) "rude" sundanese (so there is where the accent comes from) ….. and probably surprisingly English … why? … well, it is because I learn English (I would say it in a correct way) since I was in junior school, but for sure my talent is not in language, so my English is still so so until now …. hehehehehehe …

I was a trained basketball player … at least for several years of my adolescence life, I used to do jogging at least twice a week and other extra exercise … and I was fairly good with other sport like badminton and football (I joined university football club as a full back) …. there was a time in my life that I wanted to be an athlete instead of sitting in my desk everyday (again, I love my work now .. hueheheheehehehe) .. did sport until I was graduated .. then there was the time when my body start to grow in horizontal directions (two dimensional expansion) … fyi, before I went to germany, my weight was 70 kg, and now my weight is about 85 kg (and I assume I was kind of fooling myself when I measured that … huehehehehehehehe…)

I like music, and I did piano lesson when I was kid … again, talent speaks up, so in general I am not talented musician even I like to play instrument, and surprisingly, I can play baritone, trombone and tube, and know fairly well about the theory .. yeah, joined Marching Band when I was in the university (interesting fact, I left university football club to join marching band just to find some girls .. since, how many time you can find find girls in the football field during the practice .. true story … wkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkkwk) ... through the marching band, I joined university big band, and performed in several festival and event already (yeah, that glorious time .. another interesting fact, I skipped my midterm test just to be able to do the practice ...) ….. I was also a member of church choir for sometime, and also participated in the choir contest at ITB, my almamater ….. right now, there is nothing left in me from those days, probably singing under the shower is the most capable thing I can do now .. huehehehehehehe ….. my fave? except cheesy and broken hearted song (believe me, I am cursed to like that kind of music .. wkwkwkwkwkwkwkwk), I like phil colins big band (eventough they only come with one album), Miller, Kenton, Sinatra, DMP big band, Manhattan Transfer, Kahitna (wkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwk), Swing when you are winning from RW, and other swing big band stuff (well, I put all these bands just to impress people actually) … one more surprising trivia, I was a vocalist of a band, and was playing in the wedding reception once … wkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwkwk ….. but as a conclusion, I am not talented for that .. just simply trying something new I guess …. So please don’t ask me to play something or singing or whatever … hehehehehehe ….

so, as a proof of my cursed taste of music, here it is … enjoy …

ps. to be continued .......
