Turkey is not the same kind of country as ‘normal’ European countries…... they have some asian mentality but also asian hospitality … but still, the western system that they chose to use partly there too …so what we can find there is a bit chaotic system like in Indonesia but with very friendly people and open minded thinking (they even started to talk about religion with beginning words ‘excuse me’)….. during my travel before I had never met people who very open especially to foreigner like this …. in this case they are being open to foreigner not only for money like in Indonesia …. off course , it is similar like in Indonesia: annoying people try to convince you to buy their goods on the street and shows that the life there is quite difficult …. especially in Istanbul …but still their friendliness really amazes me ….
the system of transportation is chaotic, similar to Indonesia … no train for long distance journey (was really annoying) and for sure the public transportation is unreliable where there is no time scheduling for the bus or tram line .. and for sure, with 36 degree celcius inside a crowded tram, you can smell a fresh kebab odor from everyone next to you (HUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA … jangan deh makannya .. kesiksa .. mending jalan aja) …. to be honest, I expected something more from a city with a very long history …. but still it gave me a new experience on how to survive … hehehehehehehehehehe …. so more or less, it is just like coming out from your comfort zone and step in into a big giant old historical oven which is used to bake kebab (and some old kebab still remain inside… ) … probably it is a short way to describe istanbul …huehehehehehehehehe ….
next stop was selcuk … a village full with old people, kind of reminded me of my father’s hometown, the only remaining young people are the useless ones and full with old people … maybe their situation was not that bad …. but I saw the similarity …. people was extremely friendly, and everything was very cheap there …. wished I can stay there longer … except the weather (40 degrees C) everything was nice there …. love it …. went to ephesus .. visited the local industries … had a really nice dinner in the restaurant owned by a nice guy …. I love this place .. really good for old-fashioned person like me …….
it was refreshing journey .. eventough very tiring …. next stop … Japan …. we’ll see how broke I will later at the end of September …. hueheheheheheheheheh ….
ps. if you ask me what the nicest thing that i bought in turkey, then my answer is my emporio armani watch ... huahahahahaha ... one thing that i like from istanbul is this .. the are full with fake branded goods (mangga dua mah lewat...)
thx to Carina for the trip and Qonita for the infos
